Like a lot of people, I've seen that iconic picture of Machu Picchu over the years and have been awed by the beauty and mystery surrounding the site. As a dreamer I'd often imagine what it would be like to have been the first to climb the "Old Mountain" and discover this amazing city.

When Shawn was a guest at one of our broker luncheons and mentioned he would be leading a trek to Machu Picchu for the brokers association I knew I had to be a part of this. Ok, I admit I was very nervous about this decision (more than a few jokes going around about having to leave my makeup behind!) but to be able to do something that inspired me, as well as being able to help others at the same time - I couldn't pass it up. This was an opportunity that would never come again! At this point in my life, I am ready to challenge myself (hence the picture of me ziplining for the first time) and I can't think of a better chance to do so.

While those who know me may be surprised by this, children are important to me. I've chosen to support SOS Children's Villages as every child deserves to be cared for in a safe and supportive environment. Help me to help them, your support is greatly appreciated.
