When the opportunity to join Shawn and the Dream Team for a 3rd adventure presented itself, I couldn't turn it down. If my experiences in both Tanzania and Nepal were any indication, Peru is sure to be another adventure of a lifetime! Travelling through both the major cities as well as the rural communities of Tanzania and Nepal exposed me to the challenging conditions under which a significant percentage of the world's population live. Despite their lack of resources, these communities continue to survive partly due to the sheer tenacity & resiliency of its inhabitants. With that said, conditions are far from ideal and in certain scenarios, they rely on external assistance to facilitate many of their basic needs (that we in Canada take for granted).

Once again, I have the privilege of raising funds to support one of the Dream Mountains Foundation recognized charities, CARE Canada. I encourage you to visit their website at www.care.ca to familiarize yourself with their efforts to facilitate change within the poorest areas of the world. Their efforts have been (and continue to be) directed to Africa, Nepal & Peru.
What's unique about CARE (and what resonated with me the most) is that rather than simply providing communities with funds, they focus on the empowerment of women and girls to influence lasting change in their communities.

Your recognition of my efforts to bring awareness to this worthwhile and influential organization is greatly appreciated!
